Constructions of the grand Royal Crematorium’s structural work will be completed by the end of this month.
And Deputy Prime Minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn said on Thursday that the structural work of the Royal Merit-Making Pavilion in the same compound will also be finished at the same time.
He was speaking after inspecting the progress of the preparations for the royal cremation ceremonies of HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Royal cremation ceremonies and related rituals for the late monarch, who reigned Thailand for seven full decades, are set to take place in October.
He passed away at the age of 89 last year.
According to Tanasak, preparations for fine-arts items that will be used during the Royal cremation ceremonies and rituals are also progressing well.
“I am delighted to see how committed and dedicated everyone is in the preparatory works. Volunteers come from various provinces. This reflects the love that people have had for the much-revered monarch,” Tanasak said.
